Apprentice program trains skilled workers ITT Cannon Electric apprentices Jose Medina and Robert Hasulke have just completed the first quarter of the first year of their four-year stint toward becoming tool and die journeymen. Both men express continued enthusiasm for the program which includes four years hard work: 8000 on-the-job hours in all phases of tool and die work and mold making in Cannon Electric’s tool room; and, in addition, a minimum of 576 hours of class room instruction at Los Angeles Trade-Tech College. Jose Medina, formerly a machinist in the contract manufacturing department of Can- non, lives at 1839 Heidleman Road.
