The bore is 2650ft in depth, the surface of ? the ground being 495ft above the sea level. The pressure when the bore was first opened waa 2451b per square inch, and the daily flow estimated 670,000 gallows, with a temperature of 166deg.. Fehr. Warner's JDsnjnantic Co. Mr. Charles Warner's Melbourne Dramatic Company opened for a brief season in CharleviUe on Monday last with Pettit and Conquest's drama, "The Roll of the Drum." The various parts were very well sustained by the members of the company. It is very seldom that Chnrleville has the ple.isnre of witness ing a performance of the charactcr pre sented on Monday evening, and Charle viUe showed its appreciation bv the applause which greeted the salient puints of the play. In spite of the Iiaiited space the piece was rery well staged. On Wednesday evening the company appeared in the " Lancashire Lass,'' and, despite the threatening weather, were greeted wiih a very fair house.
