BALLARAT. - The roads leading to- wards Ballarat are again thronged. From Geelong there is a stream of drays nearly, if not quite equal in number to the original host, when all our little world was on its way there. The road, it is true, has been well frequented ever since; but a few weeks ago, when hailed with the question "where are you bound   for?" the answer was invariably "oh!     the Mount!", Now, the only response   is, "Ballarat! Ballarat!" Looking to       the immense quantities of provisions and stores, daily carried out of Geelong, and comparing them with the trifling im-   ports, there is really a prospect of "short commons" for the townspeople.
