YOUNG PLAYERS PLEASED IN 'MAN FROM MINISTRY' [Newspaper Article] — The Cumberland Argus — 9 August 1950

YOUNG PLAYERS PLEASED IN 'MAN FROM MINISTRY' All things considered, The King's School Dramatic Society's production of "The Man from the Ministry" was a creditable effort. Blackouts, synchronising with cuitain risk on both nights, cer tainly added nothing to the back-stage confidence of the youthful players. Neither did the . execrable acoustics and frigidaire cold, for which the Parramatta City Hail is notorious. Nevertheless, both audiences. appeared thoroughly to enjoy the: manner with which the play ers dealt with Madeleine Bing ham's scintillating lines in this cynical comedy about govern ment departmrent muddle-fuddle. S. J. Davies (Katie Jones), J. D. Fitzer (Sergeant Henry Brown, '"The Man from, the Ministry"), A. A. Hargreaves (Elsie), I. M, Tuckwvell (Fred Weston, a local reporter), J. M. Denison (Joseph Hooper, Mayor of Bellington), each made the most of the "fat" parts. Others in the cast were J. H. Davy (Mr. Vincent), R. St. J. Baker (Phyllis),'A. E. Busby (the Woman wi...
