The Ensuing Session-. MEETING OF THE CABINET. BILLS UNDER CONSIDERATION. A lengthy meeting of the Cabinet was held on Thursday. Ministers met at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and were iu con ference until 6 o'clock, when they ad journed for dinner. They 'reassembled at 7.30 p.m., and tho silting did not bieak up until shortlv.before 11 o'clock. Tho chief matter for discussion was the list of bills which should be introduced during the ensuing session. The tithe of Parliament will be devoted to what the rremier tor res -'domestic legislation. The acceptance of the Commonwealth Bill bv the electors has, iu the opinion of Ministers, disposed of the fiscal difficulty, so far as the provincial Purliament is concerned, once and for 'ever. The Work of Bees A writer iu the Revue des Sciences Naturellce makes the following calcu lations in regard to the work done by the honey bee : When the weather is fine, a worker oan visit from 40 to £.0 flowers in six or ton trips and colleot a grain of nectar. If it visits 200 or 400 flowers, it will gather 5 grains. Under favorable circumstances it will take a fortnight to obtain 15 grains. It would, therefore, take it several years to manufacture a pound of honey, which will fill about 3,000 cells. A hive contains from 20,000 to 60,000 bees, half of which prepare the boney, the other half attending to tho wants of the hive and the family. On a fine day, 16,000 or 20,000 individuals will, in six or ten tripj, be able to ex plore from 300,000 to 1,000,000 flow ers, say several hundred thousand plants.
