MILK YIELD CONDITIONS. [Newspaper Article] — Daylesford Advocate, Yandoit, Glenlyon and Eganstown Chronicle — 12 March 1914

MILK YIELD CONDITIONS. -Many factors play their part in lowering the milk yield. The state of temper o£ a particular cow will make a difference in her individual yield; again, some members of the herd may he unwell; a change of milkers is often harmful; the weather, the feed, the water, the breed, all play their share in the rise and fall of the milk, weight. Some of these things have to be suffered because they are inevitable. Changes of weather we rannot prevent; nor the movement of the seasons; but by carefulness and intelligence, we can lessen the effects of nearly all these causes very much. Once this fact is firmly grasped, we may proceed; but no dairyman must think himself the complete tool of time and circumstance. Nature baa provided him with an intelligence, and with strength to conquer circum stances, and to make the most jf time. Mabel: So you and Jack don't speak. What's the trouble?
