THE HAY SHOW. The Annual Show of the above took place on Thursday, and was well attended. In the sheep section there was a pauci'y of local exhibits. The blue ribbon of thecham pion rainOiip fell to a sheep from Zara. The same flock took no less tliau a duzeu prizes iu the schedule generally. tMost of Zara first awards (says the ' Grazier') ivere in the rain classes. Mr Officer has now won therefore, becomes his pvoper y. The Uardry flock did chief IrattK! for tlie houor of local stud flocks, proving the runner-up to the champiou iu rain classes, and furnish ing the champion ewe, likewise the runuer u.-i. Altogether Messrs Wiils, Neitsou, aud Smith secured six firsts, two second, ami one third prizes. Next in the order of success in the sheep|classes came the Nooroug sheep. THE JERILDERIE SHOW. This Show was hell on Tuesday and Wed nesday, and the attendance each day aver agen about 1,500 people. The sheep exhibits were the principal feature of the Show, the judging being performed by Messrs D. M'Lartv and ,1. Culley. Mr G. F. Simpson secured champion prize for the best ram, a well covered animal, showing a strong dash of the Vermont type. 'I he same owner also carried off the champiou prize for a ewe. In the grass fed sections, bid by exhibitors, Missis, G. F. Simpson, G. Knight, Pearse, Young and Milieu. J. H. Spiller, J. Gtfun, aud G. Anderson carried off prizes. In the grand champion, artificially fed section, Mr L. M'B. Grant of Butberwah obtained first prize for a splendid ram of the Vermont type, with good length, aud a good covering on the back. Messrs YouLgand Millen were also successful prize winners. ENTERTAINMENT. By the Buffaloes. The front seats in the Public Hall were literally crammed to excess on Friday even ing, the occasion heiug au entertainment bjr the Naraudera Buffalo Minstrel aiid Variety Company. The rush for front seats, before the entertainment commenced was so great that the entrance by the side door was partly Hftp.ltpd. mid tltrtrp urn.fl nnf n Rpftt tn Kp hfici. Judging by the vociferous cheers which greeted each item, followed by manifestations of approval of the clever dialogue which filled up the programme, the whole entertainment seemed to meet with hearty approval. The concerted numbers, which were Borne of the most, attractive, were an opening chorus by the company, and a duet ' Ijarboard Watch,' by Messrs Fraser and Listberger, the voices of the latter harmonising well. [?] Sin, — I notice in j'our issue of July 10th, that the Hospital Committee expressed sur prise at the tone of my letter in reply to iheir request to send £21 for board, &c, of c lesceufi- awaiting removal at your hands. 1 was also surprised at such a demand being made against me, and at t'ie tone adopted by the mover of the resolution at the pr ? vious meeting. Nash was not put into ? he hospital by me, as he did -not go in for months after 1 left the district, aud even if I had placed him there, surely after subscri bing to -ho hospital for many years and con tributing in other ways, I would have the right to do so without such a claim as this being made agaiust me. Further, Nash had not spe-it the greater prt of his days in my employ.
