A I N *-T" •*.--**X. The hay crop this year is abundante. It is of. more value than any other crop. -4st year, tame hay was almost a failur. Pcaitio hay and corn fodder were used as substrates. The question for every .araier and stock raher to decide, is, "How shall I secure this valuable orop.in the best pos sible condition T" Timothy•should be cut before it is ripe, and the stalk woody. Some writers say that it should be cut while the aeed is in the dough state. Oth ers say, that when in bloom, is the best time. If for young oattle, cows and sheep, it is better cut early. For horses, it is best out in the dough state. Clover should be cut when half of the blossoms have turned brown. Grass Is not to be cut when it is wet, nor should it be exposed more than half a day to the hot sun. It should always be put into good lixc 1 cocks before it is dry, and there let it cure.
