The Convention Xhe Whip Convention met at Blooming ton on Monday, and did a good day's work for Wliiggcry in the Third District. The official proceedings will be found on the op posite page. Tile attendance wns large, every county but one being represented. That county Curroll held a meeting and appointed delegates, but from some cause they were not present. The citizens of Macon remarked tlie dilTereuce between the Whig Convent ion of Monday, and the Loco foco Convention held a few weeks before. That convention was so thinly attended, only about kal.' the counties having been repre sented a "grand jury room" would have been amply sufficient for the deliberations of that enthusiastic body of office seekers. Not 60 with the Whig Convention; the delegates poured in from tho east and the west, the north and the south, until the vil lage was alive ...
