SATURDAY, JUNE 20, 1S74. THE "DANBURY NEWS" .AN. A Stage Coach Ride in England. From the Danbury News. The glory of England is its country. A grander scene than an English landscape cannot be found from sunrise to sunset- excepting, perhaps, a debate in the United States Congress. Its wonderful turf which is tverywhere; its fine varilty of hill, plain and dale-meadow, field .ind forest; its broad, white roads; its luxuriant foliage, itn quaint, comfortable farmhouses; and its nestling red brick villages, form a pioture that for loveliness surpasses any effort of the imagination. The journey by rail from Liverpool to London is through an excellent country, and the traveller with any appreciation of nature and rustic art is charmed and delighted at every mile. The glory of such a scene no pen, unle~s it is mine, can adequately describe. And to pass through its beauties only to be swindled in the end by a red-haired cab man with a pimple on his nose isone of the saddest episodes in thi...

SATURDAY, JULY 4, 1874. A Remarkable "Magnetic Chamber" in a California Cave. The author of ".*inbad the Sailor's ad ventures " must resign his laurels. One W. 11. Stokes has been exploring a recently discovered cave near Pine Grove, Amador county, California, and writes to the Sutter Creek Independent an account of his inves tigations. Mr. Stokes vouches for the exact truth of his narrative in every partic ular, and we doubt not the reader will readily credit it from the following specimen description of one of the chambers the party entered. This chamber beats Sinbad's magnetic mountain which drew all the nails from his ship, and thus caused it to fall to pieces, all hollow. Listen to Mr. Stokes: " Upon entering this chamber we noticed a most peculiar ...
