Tim Attoinej on the op posite side was of a different opinion, and could see no evidence in the cause that would justifj the "twelve pood and lawful citizens" in rendering such a verdict. The Judge charged the jury to decide according to' law and evi dence" and after deliberating carefully wtli "unprejudiced minds," returned to the Court Room with the verdict that the prisoner at tho bar was uot the man who struck Billy Patterson.
