A Hibernian drunk was before the Mayor this week and got twenty-four hours in the parish jail. Owners of cattle in Donaldsonville will do well to heed the notice which the Town Secretary gives in another column. We had a pleasant call from Dr. John Dominique on Thursday. The Doctor knows how to make the heart of the printer sing for joy. Judge T. J. Walton of Port Barrow brought us a sample bunch from his oat patch. Loeb's new spring goods are the prettiest in town. Every body is go ing to see them. The thud of Mr. LeBlanc's pile driver informs us that work has been resumed on the new wharf. Judge R. N. Sias is having a new law office built on Chetimaches street, opposite the Court-House. Several fine showers of rain have fallen this week, greatly improving the condition of the crops. Planters are much encouraged in consequence. Mrs. M. Israel & Co. will sell their entire stock of goods regardless of cost, on account of a change to take place in the partnership. After the 26th inst., all dogs found on the streets of Donaldsonville with out muzzles will be poisoned by the Constable. See official notice in an other column.
