fRET.e: PRESS HARRY FREESE, Publisher. HAYS. - - KANSAS. The all-year-around beet girl of alL girl la the Dame Fashion decrees women must continue to hobble. Football schedules are blossoming fihyly on the sporting page. Football this year will have to com pete with some mighty gamey politics. Next year somebody will perhaps in dent a straw hat that will not blow off. One could learn to love an aero plane because it so seldom kicks up the dust. The man who stole a kitchen range was evidently determined upon going a hot pace. The man whs bleached sparrows "and sold them as canaries forgot to .bleach their voices. Students of Rugby have risen in re volt against the silk hat. Verily, this Is an age of treason. The only answer to be made to the query as to why man don't go to church is that they do. Some Kansas City women are ad dicted to cigars. That town needs more smoke inspectors. American slang is steadily gaining ground over academic English. The former seems sure to arrive. Notwi...

HARRY FREESE, PubllsiO. HAYS. - , . KANSAS. The aeroplane is still amenable to the law of gravity. We are threatened with monoplane whiskers and balloon skirts. There are all kinds of suckers, in cluding the one who puts up the side bet. Listen to the candidates! Yet women have been, called the talkative sex. Let us be calm. That moth ball odor will soon pass from ingenuous humanity. The dreaded open season for stories about finding pearls in oyster stews is now upon is. Two-story trolley cars are now pop ular in New York. Watch for the skyscrapers next. - Thus far no combination of capital has sought an injunction to restrain Che union suit. One of the grave issues of the day Is the harrowing doubt: "Is King George henpecked?" Just plain, ordinary curiosity to see a candidate is often mistaken for wild enthusiasm for his cause. Chicago -is to have an aeroplane steeplechase. Just as if ordinary fly ing weren't dangerous enough. Australia dreams of being a second Europe some time. Au...

Pe-ru-na and Ka-tar-no I hare recelr ed a letter from a young lady, who asks me: "Is the old Pe-ru-na (Ka-tar-no) better than the revised Pe-ru-na?" Either medi cine has its place. One is adapted for one condition, a n -other for anoth er. Ka-tar-no is a better remedy for some condi tion a than thfi S. B. Hvtmaa, M. D. revised Pe-ru-na. On the other hand, the revised Pe-ru-na is a better remedy for some conditions than Ka-tar-no. They are both intended as catarrh remedies. They have both done a great work in relieving catarrh, chronic and acute. Many hundreds of cases of chronic catarrh have recovered -while taking Ka-tar-no and the same is true of the revised Pe-ru-na during the last six years since its revision. - There is a difference, however, in the two remedies. Whenever catarrh is associated with constipation then the revised Pe-ru-na is the best. In- deed, this is exactly why the revision was made, to meet such cases. But where no laxative is needed, where the bowels are reg...
