Voshell, assistant engineer in the office of roads of the department of agriculture. The engineer had arrived in the city but a few hours before, having been delegated by Secretary Wilson to come to Mon tana and supervise the construction of some model roads in the vicinity of Billings and Missoula. In this connection, the views of the engineer are in line with those advocated by some of the prominent men for many years, and although the plan has never been generally carried out, it h...

J. J. STIPEK, Founder of lWE Ot{ WBHEAT WILL ALL HELP DAWSON COUNTY GROW. Badges, with the above inscription, which J. J. Stipek is distributing, as a souvenir of the founding of his new townsite at Stipek on May 18, are the most attractive advertising ever used by any one in Eastern Montana to boom a new town They are typical of the man himself and everyone wishes him success in his new undertaking. Mr. Stipek came to Glendive in 1897 and started in business for him self in a small shack on Bell St. Being an expert workman and thoroughly knowing all about leather, his repu tation soon was known over Dawson County. The hand-made saddles that he sold were the best to be had, and his business grew until today he owns and occupies one of the best business rooms in Glendive. Starting in the harness making business he has kept up that branch of his occupation and kept adding to the line until he now has one of the most complete men's and horses' furnishings stores in Mon tana.
