Subscription Price $1.00 per Year strictly in advance FRIDAY, HOY. 30, 1906 SUSTAIN THE ADMINISTRATION Now that a full et of city officers have been elected by the people, it becomes the duty of every good citi- zen to give them support and en- couragement in every way possible to make Hereford a more desirable town in which to live. Many diffi- cult problems will present themselves to our city authorities for solution and U is to be expected that some mistakes will be made, as no man will lay claim to being infallible. We believe the men who have been elected to the various offices are men who can be depended on to do what they think will be for the best in- terests of Hereford. Subscription Price $1.00 per Year strictly in advance FRIDAY, JAN. 4, I9«7 OUR PROGRESS. It affords the Brand much unal- loyed pleasure to point to the won- derful change which has been wrought in Hereford and surround- ing country the past year. As we glance about us, we behold wheat and alfalfa fields where twelve months ago nothing but mesquite grass and cattle was to be seen. With this change in the appearance of our country, there has also come about a noticeable change in the sentiment of our people with ref- erence to this as a farming country. There were many doubters a year ago ; now there are none to speak of. Everybody seems to realize that the Panhandle is well adapted to agricul- tural pursuits and that unheard of resources are lying here awaiting the applicat...
