SAN ANTONIO The J L C Docs Things Hip could not have chosen a motto more appropriate ami fitting for the Jewish Literary club than the above The cor- rectness of this motto was tested to the extreme on last Wednesday evening July 13th when the club gave a watermelon feast and swimming par- ty complimentary to its members and found to be correct The showers on Wednesday afternoon did not deter the members of the club from attend- ing this affair Promptly at the ap- pointed time about sixty members boarded the special car chartered for the occasion and left for the hot wells After a jolly ride the party arrived at the wells and entered the swimming pool which was reserved for the club and a most pleasant evening was en- joyed The management arranged ta- bles on the picnic grounds adjoining the wells and a watermelon feast was had Speeches were made by the offi- cers of the club followed by music in eluding several numbers rendered by the quartette A resolution of thanks to the committ...
