Social and Personal. [Newspaper Article] — The Bunbury Herald and Blackwood Express — 8 October 1919

iooiil and PaMil. A general feeling of regret was experienced when it became known that Mr. CM. Fawkner had resigned his .position as manager of. the National Bank, which he has held for over five years. Mr. Fawkner was the youngest manager in the Bank's services, but preferred, we under stand, to resign his position rather than sacrifice his principles on certain matters. There are not many meu who have the courage of their con victions and are prepared to sacrifice' the certainty, poor as it is, for the unknown. We wish him every good luck in his new career, in which, we feel sure, his popular wife will assist him considerably. -. Mrs. Fawkner will be much missed, in local social circles. In Bunbury and district they leave a host of friends and well wishers and. not a single enemy. What more can a man wish said of him? .?;? We are glad to hear that Mr G. C. Money, M.L.A., who has been suffering from 'flu for the last three weeks, and confined to his house, is up and about again, a...
