The truth is, that between six and seven o'clock in the morning, before I had left my room, a boy I have found four ducks feeding on my corn in the store-room, and to drive them away threw a Gtick, which «truck one, but it made its way ont with the other three, so that die duck was not even killed on my premises. MUNICIPAL ELECTION. THE election of two aldermen for the   municipality of Rockhampton, to serve   in the room of Aldermen M'Kelligett and Stevens, took place on Tuesday last. The rough state of the poll was an- nounced on Tuesday evening, and the official declaration made at 10 a.m. on the following day.
