A LETTER FROM THE OLD COUNTRY Mr. C. Wedderkopp has received from the groundsman of the Sun derland Grfcket and Football Club in North England, a souvenir card and a page from a cricket score book autographed by all members of the Australian team which play ed there during the Test tour last year. Mr. Wedderkopp, who was in Eng land at the time, managed to get a special seat to watch the match, and struck up' a friendship with the groundsman. Bill Thompson. On his return to Australia ho sent him a spccial food parcel for Christmas and the New Year. In his letter, Mr. Thompson de scribed the parcel as "the perfect New Year's Gift," and said that his wife was delighted with the many things she was unable to get in England. The score sheet is autographed by Lindsey Hassett, who captained the team for the match, W. A. Brown, Colin McCool, Neil Harvey, D. Tallon, W. A.
