TEE U"08&021E " AN THE U"00. OF TIE CERO IOLE." Ca. VWErTER is like the twelfth jury man: he is always right : he knows everything: nothing can possibly be right unless he believes it to be right, or the iniative comes from him. The water-supply for the township was all wrong, though now it is likely to suc ceed he is disposed to take it by the hand. The erection of the municipal sale-yards was wrong, though at least one-fourth-probably one-half-of the shires in the colony have put up sale yards: he will take them by the hand, too, if there are many more gatherings like that of Friday last. He wanted the Dairy Factory business postponed, because he had not been personally con sulted, though it was advertised for a fortnight in the CIuROsICLE; but when that, too, is a success-as it assuredly will be-he will take that by the hand too. He supported the wire netting up to a certain point, and then left it to take care of itself, because he could not get all his own way. And so m...
