INQUEST. [Newspaper Article] — Ovens and Murray Advertiser — 2 February 1857

INQUEST. An inquest was held at Wodonga on the 31st ultimo, before Washington Murphy, Esq., Coroner, upon view of the body of Thomas Esau, aged forty four. The deceased was a wood saw- yer by trade, and had been drinking for sixteen days. On Sunday night   last he rose up from his bed, and cried out "Murder" (suffering from deli- rium tremens) ran out, and his neigh-   bors searched for him all night in vain. The body was found in a lagoon in the neighborhood six days afterwards.       Verdict - Found drowned.
