Joussojr, of the First East Tennessee Catalry. lie arrived ' here tho day bofure from Murfreesboro, where we learn he obtained authority to raise a cavalry brigade. Ilia regiment at present it one of the largest in the ser vice, and hat done g od work. We hope that Col. JoiinsoX may be zealously as sisted in the work of raising his cavalry brigade. Every loyal man should ren der him all the help in his power. We need more cavalry. If we had treble the number which we havo they could all ba constantly and most uncfully employed. With a strong force of cavalry distribu ted along at various points, the guerrilla bands could bo ipeedily cutoff, and this beautiful region freed from a si t of ma rauders who are fast making it as doso lato as poor Mexico.
