Transcript, of J ; une 13, hag the following under the heading " Probable Loss of the Steamer Sea Bird "The steamer Sea .Bird, while lying at anchor astern of the Carrier Pigeon, at 3 o'clock am., on Friday, parted'nor b,est bower chain, and immediately let go "her second anchor, which brought her up head to the sea. In a few minutes parted her second chain ,-rSail was made on her and she veered clear of a reef of rocks lying off her lee side. There being a heavy ground swell when the second anchor brought the steamer head to the sea, the chain crossed her fore foot and started the scarf at the bottom of the forefoot , an d in a few minutes she was reported to be tilling. Routes for the Pacific Railroad. <> The following information on the subject of the railroad routes to be explored the present season, is from the New York Herald of the 11th May: ¶ "Four parties are be detailed under the direction of the War Department. That of Maj. Stevens, Governor of tho new Territory of Washington, who explores the extreme northern route, has already been noticed. The instructions were given today to the second party under command of Lt. Robert S. Williamson. This party will sail from N. York on the 20th .May, for San Francisco, to commence operations. It will ascend the San Joaquin to the Tulare Lakes, and explore the various passes leading through the Sierra Nevada. AT a meeting of the Democratic Central Committee of Los Angeles County,held in the city of Los Angeles on the 24th of June, 1853, it was resolved that the Democrats of the Couuties of Pan Bernardino and San Diego be invited to send Delegates to a Convention, to meet delegates named by the County of Los Angeles, for the purpose of nominating a Democra tic candidate for Senator, to represent said Senatorial District composed of said Counties, and to be voted for at the next general election. Armas cle Fucgo. Es arombroso el niimero de toda cliise de armas de fuego que han sido construidas en la fabrica de Lieja [ Belgioa ] de algunos alios a esta parte. Los datos estadistioos relativos al ano de 1835, pueden servir de norma para formal* un juicio aproximado de lo quo debe haberse fabricado on otros anos.
