Contracts for an Eng- lish Village depleting Merrie Kngland of the sixteenth century have been signed by a syndicate of eastern In- terests with A Century of Progress Exposition Chicago's 1934 World Fair. This is another of a series of new attractions which will be spectacular features of this year's Fair. Among others which have already been sign- ed are Pictuiesque Switzerland and the Black Forest Village of Germany. The new village will occupy two and one-half acres of space along the West Side of the Midway taking the space of several small concessions which are now being torn down. The contract was signed by Ma- jor O. J. F. Keatinge who was gen eral advisor for the 1933 Exposition and formerly a director of the famous Wembley Exposition in England.
