ALLEGED "PEEPING TOM" FINED Investigating compl a in t s that a man had been seen peering through windows, police had found a man crouched behind a tree in the yard - of the- Christian Science Chuitch, Smith St., Parramatta, it was alleged in Parramatta Court last week. Before the Court as the result was Walter: Pacey (39), painter, Sof Smith St., Parramatta;. Pacey,: pleaded guilty and was fined £3 by Mr. Brooke, S.M., for trespassing on the church piroperty,. Constable Fielding, of Parra matta Police, said -inr evidehrce that complaints had, been receiv ed from a girls' hostel alongside the .church about the activities of a .peeping tom.'" Mrs. V. Cranney, president df the Ladies' Committee, was host ess to the official guests. Mrs. Cranney wore a corsage of orch ids pinned to the shoulder. of her violet crushed-velvet jacket-styled top, worn over a full skirt of faille striped taffeta. She was assisted by Mrs. .-Kearney, wearing midnight blue ielvet; Mrs. G. Cranney, Mrs. Spratt, Mrs. Croft, Misses Joan and Helen Cranney. The Mayor of Parramatta, Aid. E. A.
