Nothing of any consequence has transpired in this quarter since my last, unless that the district, for the lost two or .three weeks, lias been visited liy incessant rain. Vegetation looks beautiful; but it has. been most disastrous to some of our wool growers. I mention ono instance, that is Mr. W. Turner, of Helidon, who, I believe, has lost thousands of latnhs and hundreds of sheep by the late rain — a gen tUiuan of industrious pursuits.and well respected by al! who knofr him: it will be a serious lots to-iiira. At the Police Office, Drayton. on the 26th ultimo, befora J. P. Ball, J. Watts, and F. N. Isaac, Esqrs., J.P., James Mann And Harriet Mann, his wife, -were charged with receiving five hags of flour, the pro perty of W. Kennedy. Esq. Prisoners were defended by Mr. Walsh.
