George Brown reports Only seven per cent return questionnaires [Newspaper Article] — El Sereno Star — 14 May 1964

George Brown reports Only seven per cent return questionnaires ' During the past two or three weeks I have been receiving completed returns from the questionnaire which I recently mailed to each household in the 29th Congressional District. About 10,006 individuals have taken the trouble to indicate their view* to me or, roughly seven percent of those receiving them. While this is not as high a percentage as I would like, this figure compares favorably with other mailed questionnaines, and with the returns which I had received on a smaller .number of questions in my regular Newsletter. The length of the questionnaire did not seem to be a factor in the returns, if we can judge by comparison with our previous experience. By analyzing the nature of the returns I hope to get some kind of idea about what factors result in a higher percentage return, as well as a very good sampling of the political views of the citizens in the 29th Congressional District. I think that 10,006 different poi...
