Hatohell left Monday for Snyder Oklahoma where his wife is visiting. W. A. Shofner of Killeen was here the first of this week. He owns land in Swisher. S. H. Lofton was at Tulia yes- terday seeing old friends. He says lots of rain down there. The Canyon Mercantile & Hardware Co. has put in a special Summer Sale. Read their ad. Cement sidewalks all over town would be nice and at the same time well worth the cost. Dr. Ingham was at Amarillo Monday and Tuesday attending the Panhandle Dental associa- tion. Tuesday the Plainview base ball team laid it over Amarillo on the latter's diamond by a score of 5 to 2. Cement sidewalk laying still going on.
