Have you ever driven down a long stretch of highway when there isn't a gas station or rest area for miles and you pass someone who seems to be having car trouble? The operative word here is "pass." Why don't more people stop to offer assistance to someonepulled over oa the side of me road? Not offering help to someone pulled overon the side of the road should bother our conscience shouldn't it? After all many people have either grown up with the notion to help out a neighbor or they have learned from religious institutions to be generous and lend a helping hand. With all the psychotic schemes and murderous crimes that occur nowadays it isn't hard to imagine why people fear for their lives. People fear strangers and are jus- tified in fearing them. But it is quite frightening to have car trouble out in the middle of nowhere and to not be around Civilization. If you were travel- ing alone ...

Football is great and it's awe- some to win. But we don't need to win gamesor even play them for that matter-if it keeps us from living out our faith. Football isn't a religion.
