CONCERT AT BRUNJSWICK. The Suburban Musical Club made their first appearance in public at the MhIe chanics'Institute, Brunswick, on Tuesday evening last, to a well attended audicnce. The programme was of a varied description comprising songs (sentimental and comic), duetts, recitations, and farcical sechos. The performers, Miss M. E. 'Walton; and Messrs. A. Hadden, A. J. W'est, iL. B. Murphy, and W. E. G. Simos wcreo very successful in their efforts to please the audience, who were -not sparing in dis playing their appreciation, encoring several.pieces.- Mr. A; IMadden acted as conductor, and Mr. W. B. Charles as pianist. iThe director made an apology Ibr Miss Alice W-oodhouse, who, owing to indisposition, was unable to appear. There was a large attendance of members. After the initiation of new members, and other general business had been disposed of, the members of the dramatic and musical classes, in connec- tion with the society, treated the meeting to a well assorted programme of readings, scenes and songs, which brought a very pleasant evening to a close.
