rudd v. neilsen. On Satui-day night last Bill lludd, , of hard hitting fame, and the big Dane, Sid Neilsen, met .at the Star Stadium for the second time. On the first occasion Rudd won in th£r- ! teen rounds — that unlucky thirteen i again. This time Neilsen got himself Into the best condition possible and was successful in making 'Rudd j throw in the towel at the end of the eighth round. It was a fight j of hard knocks and many misses, j Neilsen made Rudd miss punch after i punch with both hands. Neilsen was far more careful than he Was 'on his previous battle. Rudd foxed with the left hand in the opening round tilL he got an opening for an inside right to the chin, which brought Neilsen down to his knees ; he was only down for one second, and, as he tried to get up, Rudd helpeO c him to his feet and then tried to finish him.
