Home, Farm and Garden YIELDS THAT WE GET AND THE YIELDS WE MIGHT GET. The wln-at ?rop of the 1,'uited State is estimated to average froitr twelve to fifteeu bushels per acre while the pos sible yield has been shown to be over 70 bunhels. The yield of hay for the whole couutry is not much over one ton per acre, on a general average, against a possible yield of five ton and over, ae shown by successful fanners. The average product of potatoes is not far from 75 bushel per acre, witli oc catioual fields that prove a potwibili- tv of e'ght or nine hundred bushels. There are some root crops that pro duce an average of less than 200 bushels ner acre, which, according to authen tic record, have occasionally yielded over sixteen hundred bushels. In the case of Indian corn, the great staple of the country.the average product is not more than 35 bushels tc the acre, though crops of 150 bushels and over have been well attested, and a product ot two hundred bushels has been re ported authentica...
