We leuni from tne Tribune fiat tho Republican members of the Semite met In Caucus nt Washington, Wednesday forenoon, for the purpose of arranging the order of business during the present session, in regard to the important meas ures pending. The first thing discussed was the Civil Tenure of Office act. Ed munds opened in a speech favoring the adoption of the act. This led to n long discussion between those in favor of a full repeal and those for a modification. Among the former were Morton, Trum bull, Fessonden, Sherman, Grimes, and Thayer. Twelve o'clock found a gene ral debate in progress, and an adjourn ment till 1 o'clock ii.m. was ciTeeted. At that hour the caucus re-assembled, and the discussion was continued.
