The tight for the governorship on the Democratic ticket is practically over, and the "combine" has been almost wiped out. Claudie Swansea and Tommy Mar? tin have me.de a desperate fight, but the people (?) stem to be running matters this year, and there is now hardly a doubt but that Montagne will be nominated on the li'st ballot and with votes to spare. Browning was decided in the Court of Appeals at Wythe ville on last Thursday. The Court of Ap? peals affirmed the decree of the circuit court of Tazewell, which decree was favor? able to the Brownings.
