V 3. W. THOMAS, Editor and Proprietor. ASPERMONT, Stonewall Co., TEXAS, Thursday, Apr. 28, 1910. Johnson Chapel School En- tertainment The Johnson Chape) Literary Society, composed of the stu- dents of that school, rendered a aoat delightful program to a large and enthusiastic audience last Friday evening. Those from Aspermont who attended and assisted on the pro- gram were: Fred Johnson, Mat- tie Johnson, Will Dunwody and W. T. Mullin. Fred played a violin solo and it was the uni- versal verdict that he could handle that violin more ways than a farmer can ride to town on a load of hay. The recitation by Miss Mattie was well received and heartily applauded, while the cornet and baritone selec- tions by Dunwody and Mullin made a tremendous hit. The entertainment was opened by the president of the society, Hubert Bright and the minutes of the previous meeting: read by the secretary, Dora McLaury. Then followed the roll call, each member answering: to his or her name with an appropriat...
