October 7 1993 vmwvoioii 3 Do Cowgirls Get The Support They Deserve? THE Crossword I'm sure many of us agree that men's college football basketball baseball and other sports are all very exciting sports. We attend the games some of us faithfully and we support our men. But there is a whole other side to col- lege sports that doesn't get a whole lot of attention. That side is women's sports. After talking to a few of the girls involved in women's sports I was able to receive some feed- back. Some of the girls said they do not feel like they get as much media coverage as the men do. They do not feel they receive the support of their games as the men do and this appears to be true. The truth of the matter is women play just as hard. They may not play the grueling sport of football or the mind game of base- ball but they still work hard at what they do play. The basketball team used to get up at 5:30 a.m. to run and practice. Now they practice for 2 hours a day. The same goes for the so...
