Nov. 23 1896 I am very pleased to state that since I took the agency of Chamber lain's medicines the sale has been very large, 'more especially of the Cough Remedy. In two years I have sold more of this particular remedy than of all other makes for the previous five years. As to it efficacy, I have been informed by scores of Deraons of the good results they have received from it, and know its value from the use of it io my own household. Municipal Council. [Newspaper Article] — Narromine News and Trangie Advocate — 19 May 1899

Municipal Council. The asoal fortnightly mtetin^ of the Council itu held on Monday evening, in the Conncil Chambers Present : The Mayor (Aid. Nelson) Aldermen Bell, Walker, Kieratb and Ganning. The minutes of the previous meet ing were read and confirmed. An apology was read from - Aid. Smith, who was unable to attend owing to illness. Owing to extreme, pressure of bnsi ness, our reporter was absent (it may be remarked for the first time since the inauguration of the Conncil). Upon inquiry, however, we are credibly informed that the meeting terminated abruptly before the busi ness was got throngh, and that it is intended to continue the sitting on Friday next at 8 p.m. We gather from various sources that Monday's meeting was unique of its kind. Al dermen, or some of them, behaved in a most extraordinary manner, in each a manner in fact as to qualify the Council to become one of the most unruly in the country.
