Death of Mrs D. McCallum. [Newspaper Article] — The Blayney Advocate and Carcoar Herald — 16 July 1898

Death of Mrs D. McCallum. We feel sure that the many friends at Millthorpe and elsewhere will regret to learn that Mrs Donald McCallum died at Parkes early on Tuesday morning last from typhoid   fever. Previous to going to Parkes her late husband was engaged at the Millthorpe rail- way station, where by his civility and atten- tion to his public duties he made hosts of   friends. He was removed from Millthorpe to fill a similar position at Parkes, where about two years ago he died from typhoid fever. The late Mrs McCallum was a sister of the late Mrs John Mellor (Blayney), Mrs P. Forbes (Sydney), and Mr L. Cameron (now working on the ' Bathurst Free Press.') We clip the following from the ' Parkes Independent' — We have the sad duty to record the death of Mrs D. McCal-   lum, which took place about one o'clock on Tuesday morning in the local hospital. De- ceased had been suffering from typhoid fever   about a fortnight, which dread...
