OXLEY SHIRE COUNOCIL. A meeting of the above Council was held on Saturday last in the Council Chambers, Oxley, there being present the President, (Mr J. A. Brown,) and Cr8 Milne, O'Connrell, Byrne, O'Donnell, Gray, and Wlitty. COOPtESPONDrIOE. From Molbeal Kearney, stating that a petition from, the farmers of Greta for a farmers' common had been forwarded by mistake to Melbourne instead of Benalls, asking the Council to write to Benalla oar tifying that the application had the Council's approval and appoint a councillor to support the same. The request was granted, and Cr O'Connell appointed to support the application. From G. Moore; stating that he had sold the cut timber on the road from Oxley to Waogaratta. to Mr F. 0.
