CRICKET. YCEKE'S PENINSULA CRICKETING ASSOCIATION. YBLTA Y. YODKG AUSTKALIANS. This match was the surprise of the season. The Young Australians went in first. Penrose facing Wilkinson. Runs came freely for three overs when the bowlers changed ends, and then came a most remarkable collapse. Penrose was bowled for 5 by a ball that should have been hit out of the ground. Dawson followed and made 4 when Wilkinson beat him. Searle followed to see Trembath bowled by Mitchell with a shooter. Edwards made 4 and picked out the best fielder to catch him. E. Francis was bowled by the softest bail that ever got a wicket, a slow long hop. W. Francis got another duck, and Sanders went first ball. Hosking was given oat 1'b.w .for a ball that scarcely'bit the mat ting. Allen's stay was short and Parling stayed for a while. THE RAILWAY COMMISSIONER'S FIRST REPORT. (By Telegraph.) Adelaide, Tuesday. The Railway Commissioners first re port was laid upon the table of the House of Assembly to-day. Amongit other things it was suggested that the elaborate returns, showing the separate sectional earnings ot the railways be abandoned, and- that the railway? be treated as ft whole. This will save considerable ex pense! and at the same time make more speedy the preparation of the annual returns. The earniogs of the lines to Jane 30th, was £288,000 mote than the previous year, of this £80,000 was for passengers, £l81,*000 fbr merchandise and live stock, and £27,000 for minerals.
