MAY CALL CONGRESS President Roosevelt Desires to Have Cuban TreatyRatified . HOPES SENATE WILL ACT . Has Received Assurances to This Effect from Leaders of the Senate . Washington , March . 13 . —It can be stated by authority that President Roosevelt has not definitely made up his mind to call an extraordinary session of the Fifty-eighth congress . He , however , is considering ihe practicability of doing so . When he was informed that it was the intention of the senate so to amend the Cuban reciprocity treaty as to render action upon it by the house of representatives necessary to make effective , heinformed same members of the senate that he would hold himself free to call an extraordinary session of the congress in order to secure action upon it . BANDITS USE GUNS Passengers and Driver of a Mexican Stage Coach Are Shot Down . FIENDS COMMIT ROBBERY Detectives Slain in Arkansas by KuKlux and a Reign of Terror Prevails . Tucson , Ariz ., March 13 . —Mexican bandits held up the stage which runs between Potarn and Torin , on the Yaqui river , in Sonora , killing all of the six passengers and the driver . Among them was Filiberto Alvarado , a wealthy Mexican , who owns a number of ranches along the Yaqui river . Alvarado and his wife of two months had taken the stage from Potam to Torin and the men no doubt thought they carried a large sum of money with them . The stage carried very little mail and scarcely any money or valuables except those carried by Alvarado , so that he must have been the mark for the bandits . Hard Flnrht for Life . The hold-up took place about half way between the two towns , but justhow the stage was attacked will never be known , as all of the passengers and the driver were killed .
