Jiraes Slater has 40 head of sheep on his Lirene farm and Donald Mclnnis has recently acquired a small flock. Mr. Slater is highly pleased with bis venture from a financial stand point His older sheep which were sheared in the spring averaged ten pounds of wool to the head for which he was offered eighteen cents per pound, or $1 80 each. His flock increased this season from eighteen to forty head. He is sell ing his weathers to the local but chers for $6 a head and his Feb lambs command still a better price for mutton. The Kennewick Courier VOL. VI. NO. 21 The Commercial Club Moves To Secure Boat Landing Road, N. P. Spur for Brick Yard and Exhibit at Spokane Fair. The regular meeting of the Com mercial Club Tuesday evening was a good meeting. The attendance was large and important business was transacted after lively discussion President Geo. F. Richardson was in the chair and H. W. Desgrauges was elected secretary, pro tem. At the call of the chairman F. A. Swingle reported that when in Top penish he received strong personal solicitation to see to it that the Ken newlck Commercial Club be repre sented at the reception to the Yaki nia Valley Commercial Clubs by the Toppenish Commercial Club.
