Gwynn Silvey head of the science department of McMur- ry College travelled to Fort Worth Saturday March 3 to attend the eleventh annual meeting of the North Texas Biological Society. There were approximately one hundred and twenty-five biological leaders in attendance and twenty one valuable papers were present- ed. u Dr. Silvey presented a paper on "The Beach as a Habitat." In it he showed that no body of wnUr could exist with life in it without either a muddy or sandy beach. The reasons were that certain life must have the muddy or sandy beach in their life cycle that are necessary in the food cycle of other life.
