2 VlTMteOlW? VfkQmntC Scpttm1krl6 1993 Editorial ; Freshman Shares Joy And Anxiety Of College Experience Freshman freshman ready for fun! And homework tests roomates homesickness new friends boy friends girlfriends heartache and happiness. That's a lot to pack into one year of college. No wonder I'm so stressed out I go from one ex- treme to the other -from the depths of depression and despair to the heights of hilarity and happiness. It's a dizzy experience leaving home for the first time. Frankly it's just plain scary. I miss my family and my dog which results in outragous phone bills. That leads me to another thing college is expensive. One day I have money in the ole' check- ing account and the next day it's gone. It couldn't be my spending habits because the only CD's I've bought so far have been for study purposes - really. - Studing especially for Old Testament has brought me closer to God. I pray frequently and des- perately "Please God don't let me fail and if you could swi...

S?m$trl61993 jCdttlTCS D CrescenmeightBapustChurcn presents EXPERIENCING GOD We have a new problem at my church in Wilmcth. It's not aprob- lem that arose in a business meet- ing or even a dispute over how I preached Sunday. I didn't have to confront a member over his chronic tobacco chewing or re mind them to make a contact for the church. This is a problem that scares me more than anything I have encountered thus far. Our church has had some visitors that I wish would not have come rattle- snakes. Our church is located in rattle- snake country andmy church trea- surer even hunts rattlesnakes and catches them live. My members don't see this as a problem they tell me you get used to having them around. In fact my treasurer tells me he caught one and put it in a box over a year ago without food or water and it is still alive. Now don't get me wrong I don't hate rattlesnakes but I just don't want them around me or the fchurcn. Rattlesnakes is mean and as deadly as they may be have an ...
