We have received a letter from Dr. Thomatis, in which he desires us to tender his very warmest thanks to Mr. Hartley, Mr. Hill, and the pilot crew and constables, for the prompt and generous manner in which they rescued him when recently lost in the bush near Cairns. Dr. Thomatis' letter is dated October 5th, so has evidently mis-carried through the post, and should have reached us in time to have expressed his sentiments of gratitude some three weeks since.
