Crossed the Bar.-'?; Mrs Margaret Ross. Another pioneer resident of the' t:ii. and district passed iway at 6 o'clock on. Tuesday morning, in the person of Mrs Margaret Rose, who died at the residence in Jackson Street, which had been oc cupied by her and her late husband for nearly 60 years. Mrs Ross had long been tronbled with a serious ailment. had sacrificed herself to the care of her husband (who died on February 11. 1913, at the great age of 82 years) dur ing his fatal illness, and had been failing in health since the time of his deaih. Wonderful vitality, however, enabled her to cling to life with astonishing tenacity for some weeks after all hope of her recovery had been abandoned, and though her death was expected with pain. ful anxiety for some days previoualy, the fatal issue was deterred till the time stated.
