Final College Enrollment 7.4% Under Last Year The final college enrollment reached 6,720 yesterday for a decrease of 7.4 per cent under last year's total of 7 260, Scheduling Officer Ray V. Watkins announced yesterday. A drop in "on the campus" enrollment from 6 . 433 to 6,210 was recorded making a 3.4 per cent decrease. There are 404 students enrolled in the centers and 106 at Mont Alto. Proxy's Talk Stresses Loyalty "Penn State freshmen are faced with a great challenge, but along with this challenge-go great opportunities," said President Ralph D. Hetzel at the '45 mass meeting in Scnvvab Auditorium last night. Temple Pefrella, Tomasic Big Offense Guns By BOB SCHOOLEY Accompanied to Philadelphia by a throng of students celebrating their annual foot!: all holiday, the underdog Nittany Lion eleven will encounter an undefeated Temple Owl team when the opening whistle blows for the game in Temple Stadium at 2:30 p. m. tomorrow. Penn State will be attempting to even the series, tomorrow's game being the fourth between the two teams. Temple snatched victories in 1931 by vanquishing the Lions. 12-0, and repeated a victory the next year, 13-12. The only Nittany victory over the Owls came la._;t year when Penn State upset Coach Ray Morrison's highly-rated team 18-0. McGill, a member of the;! spphomore class who transferred from Temple University this fall, died of spinal meningitis in a Philadelphia hospital Saturday night. -Enrolled in commerce and finance and a member of Phi Kappa fraternity, McGill reported to the College dispensary last Tuesday morning when Dr. E. S. _KrugT of the health department diagnosed his case as grippe or influenza and send him' to the infirmary. . While at the infirmary, McGill developed an earache and his case was rcdiagnosed as exacerbation of a middle ear infection, and Dr. CD. Dietterieh, of the'health department, advised him to consult a Philadelphia ear specialist, who had treated McGill for a mastoid condition which he has had for the last eight years..
