DECLINE IN POULTRY PRICES . Frosea Turkey Corner Doubtful—Cooler Stack About Gone . ¦ Chicago , June 8 . —The poultry market has eased off this week and fowls are quoted one-half cent lower and spring chickens one to two cents lower owing to larger receipts and an apparent slack-up in the demand . The break in prices above referred to came Thursday and was caused to some extent from stock carried over from Wednesday which was a day of heavy receipts . The demand for broilers bids fair to keep up but the supply is increasing and a further decline in the market may be necessary . Stock weighing about 1 % pounds and over brings from 21 c to 23 c and in some cases a little more for a choice lot of stock ranging around 1 % pounds or under . Practically all storage poultry from last year that is fit for human food has found Its way into consumption and it is believed stock is about as well cleaned up now as has been 1 seen in the trade for a good while and this applies especially to fowls...

Chicago , June 8 . —The potato situation has presented a mixed and rather unexpected front this week , as old stock has been In better supply on a dull market with prices constantly tendinsr downward . Carlots of fancy white stock gradually dropped oft from 60 c tp 70 c early In the wee ^ to as low as 55 c to 60 c the latter part of the week with choice running all the way from 40 c to 50 c which is iust another caper that old potatoes have cut up In line with the series of antics served up to the trade during the season , and he is a wise man , indeed , who can predict what will happen next .
