Brilliant Victory of the U. S. Troops in Missouri. Five Thousand Rebels Defeated by One-Fifth their Number. The Gorernment troops ia Missouri gained soother brilliant victory OTer the rebels on tho 5th lost. The particulars of the battle are briefly as follows, as pi reo bj Lieut. . Tok, who was in tho battle, as Adjutant of one of the U. S. regiments. The gorernment troops engaged in the affair were about COO men of Col. Sigol's regiment, and 500 of Col. Salra on's, both Missouri volunteers, the whole under the command of Col. Sigcl. He had six pieces of artillery, all six-pounders.
