Ths House Judiciary Committee, by a vole of 8 to 1, have decided to report a reso lution asserting substantially that the pres ent Congress has no power to revise the ac tion taken by the Forty-fourth Congress in declaring the result of the Presidential con test, nor can It confer powers upon the Su preme Court or upon any other tribunal to reopen the questions which have been the settled. Chairman Knott dissented, and Mr. Butler, Republican, and Lynde, Demo crat, were absent and did not vote.
